The new ones………..

Hohner Germany introduces the CX12 Jazz
The mouthpiece of the Standard Hohner CX12 has been altered, adapted to the wedge shape of the traditional Chroms.
We don’t understand why a harp’s shape should have anything to do with the style of music a person plays, however, apparently the very round shape of the old Standard Hohner CX12 deterred some from buying the harmonica, which we love because of its splendid inbuilt maintenance features.

Another Hohner modell comes from the Tremolo corner:
The Hohner Soloist Tremolo C-G
Details about this model can be found on our Data Sheet under
101_876_soloist_tremolo_en.pdf

In addition, another model come from the ‘material and cover roundabout’:
A Steven Tyler Signature model will soon be out with a designer-cover, based on the MS Cross Harp, with ‘Custom’ comb and ‘Premium plates’, whatever that means.

Seydel will introduce the 1847 Silver.
Based on the Steel reed harmonica introduced last year, this model will have a light plastic comb built in with plates of German Silver replacing the brass.
The price, according to our informations, will remain the same as for the 1847 Standard model.

Hi Michael - can you tell me if the inside of the old CX12 is compatible with the new mouthpiece? If so I would be very excited as I struggle with the width of the old one and this sounds like it may be smaller? Thinner? Is that right?

Is the new one plastic also or metal?

    Hello Anne,
The new mouthpiece is compatible and you can find it here:

You will not like the colour of the coating, however, the feel is splendid and you will love it.
    It’s plastic, by the way.

    Michael

Does the CX-12 Jazz have the thicker reedplates of the CX-12 Gold or the thinner reedplates of the standard black CX-12?

The CX-12 Jazz has the thinner reedplates…….
However, you can put the thicker reeds in, if you order them as a spare part, as you like.

    Yours
    Michael
